Sincere condolences Scott, Christine, and David. Your Dad telephoned me several weeks ago to say he was in hospice. Since it was a very brief conversation I did not learn where he was or how to contact any of you. Since that time I have prayed for him daily. I am your mother's first cousin, Pat and was your parent's maid of honor at their wedding at St. Patrick's Church in Valley Falls, Rhode Island.

I would like to send my sincere condolences to Robert, Christine, and David. I worked for your dad until I had to have surgery. Unfortunately, when I returned, Bob was no longer home. I do not get the paper. I later found out he was in hospice. I called him, wanted to see him, but he explained he didn't feel well enough. I understood. I have so many stories to share with all or any of you. I would love to have Christine's address as I met her. I certainly wanted to be at his funeral. I was out of town, so again I missed saying good bye. I feel VERY sad about that. I have a feeling Bob knows I would have been there. It was a pleasure to work for him. We had some good laughs. I loved him and will always remember him. Sincerely, Marge Graves

Condolences ...sorry for your loss...I didn't see the obituary until just now and missed the service. My mom and dad dealt with Bob at the bank for many years as did I. He was a businessman's banker and helped many of us through difficult times. I'd see him occasionally at lunch from time to time and we'd have a laugh over some remembrance or new story. My wife, Jane, would see him at the Well's house while she was giving communion to Ruth. He always had a nice story for her. He was so dedicated and caring for your mom. Trust that just as God gave him breath at birth, He has received him once spent and be assured that Bob and Ruth are now at peace... free from life's many ills and injustices. My prayers and condolences are with you this day.
I worked for with Mr. Bisset (somehow I could never bring myself to call him "Bob") at City National Bank in the mid 70's to 80's. He was tough, but fair, and I always felt that I must be a good worker if he trusted me with so much responsibility. Even after I left the bank, he would take the time to visit (and gossip!) if I happened to see him. He was so proud of his Scottish heritage; once I brought in authentic shortbread to work--he ate half of the biscuits, and took home the empty plaid tin. One year at Christmas, I gave him a plaid tie--it turned out to be your tartan--Fraser. He was in awe that I knew this. Embarrassed, I explained I didn't know; it was a pretty design and I thought he might like it. I think I was the cause of him rolling his eyes quite often.
The last time I saw your father was two years ago, when he had decided to have surgery on both knees at the same time--I do think he regretted THAT decision.
Again, I am sorry for your loss...
Catherine (Katy) Grady

Ron's and my friendship with Bob and Ruthie extended over 40 years and, during that time, we shared a lot of wonderful times together. From foliage trips, golf tournaments, New Year's Eves at the Eccentric Club - the list goes on and on. Bob was a true friend and would go the extra mile for you if there was ever a need. He was terribly proud of his family and I know you will miss him terribly, as will my son and I. His devotion to Ruthie throughout her illness was amazing, and it eases the pain of his passing to know that they are finally reunited.
My sincere condolences to all of you, Scott, Christine, Tim, Haley, David, Tanya and little Brooklyn.
