Sandy & Bob,
You have my heartfelt sympathies, losing Mom is so much like losing an arm or a leg, but much more like losing your heart. I only met Mom once but she seemed to be a great lady. No wonder Sandy that you are such a great lady also.

Im very sorry for the loss of your Grandma, I can only imagine what a great and beautiful woman she was. This was a poem shared with me when my grandfather passed.
When i must leave you for a little while,
please do not grieve and shed wild tears and hug your sorrow to you through the years,
but start out bravely with a gallant smile.
And for my sake and in my name,
live on and do all the things the same.
Feed not on your loneliness and empty days,
but fill each working hour in useful ways.
Reach out your hand in comfort and cheer and in turn I will comfort you and hold you near.
And never, never be afraid to die for I am waiting for you in the sky!
God bless you and your family

Here is a little something to read that I hope will comfort you in many ways.
Missing Mamma
by Corky Ferguson
The sun came up this morning;
It wasn't very bright.
My dark mood casts a shadow;
It's hard to see the light.
We all have just one mother
And, now that her life on earth is done,
The emptiness and loss I feel
Make it hard to see the sun.
Tomorrow is a brand new day;
May the pain and sadness lighten.
I will remember all her love,
And then the sky will brighten.
Gone is not forgotten;
Her love reminds behind;
She's traveled in a new direction -
Love knows no space or time.
I will always love her.
She will care for me from above.
She will send me starlight and rainbows
To remind me of her love.

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message she is Dead.
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
She was our North, our South, our East and West,
Our working week and Sunday rest,
Our noon, our midnight, our talk, our song;
We thought that love would last forever: Were we wrong?
The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun,
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.
***
We all loved her exceedingly and now she's gone... our memories of you will have to do for now. Still there is an ache and emptiness that you once filled. To say we miss you falls far short, yet we must say it still: we miss you!

We're thinking about all of you as you go through this time of transition without your dear mom and grandmom. May all the many, many memories you have of her give you comfort and even joy as you think about her time and time again.
Auntie gave us all so much love, humor, understanding, acceptance, and wit throughout her life with us. Some of our best memories include those with aunt Eleanor...she surely will be missed.

Oh my, It's so hard to find the right words at a time like this. But Eleanor, you may be gone in physical being but you will always be with us in heart and soul. Your kindness and quick wit that made us laugh will be a memory forever. Deb I know this is so very hard for you but she is in heaven with my mom probably conjuring up something! She is not suffering anymore and most likely is smiling down at us. Remember she said," I never said you didn't love me" She knows very well you did. To the whole Filbeck Crouse, and Boyd families; We, Roger, Donna, Gracie, Kari, Maria and Tommy all hope that our thoughts and prayers can help to ease your sorrow.
