Obituary of Doris M. Frasier
Doris M. Frasier, 77, of Yates Road, passed away peacefully Saturday evening with her loving family at her bed side.
She was born April, 3, 1933 in Amsterdam, N.Y. and was the daughter of the late Howard and Anna O'Brian Cook. Doris has lived in Mayfield since 1962. She attended Johnstown Schools and was first employed as a glove maker working for a number of years for different glove companies in Gloversville. She later was employed as a nurses' aide at the Fulton County Infirmary in Gloversville for thirteen years until retiring in 1983.
Doris was a member of the D.A.R. Stone Arabia Chapter, the C.S.C.A. #925 of Fulton- Montgomery Counties, and the C.S.C.A. Seniors.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Frasier and Berton H. Frasier, both of Mayfield; four daughters Connie Van Laer of Stratford, N.Y., Jenann Frasier Napiontek of Van Cleave, Mississippi and Mary Ellen Jimerson of Ocean Springs, Mississippi and Teresa Frasier Lee of Jacksonville, FL; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a life long friend Wilma Mead.
A private graveside service will be held in spring at the convenience of the family at the Maple Avenue Cemetery in Fultonville, NY. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in Doris's memory to the James Brennan Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Road, Gloversville, N.Y. 12078.
