I knew Jim while we were both tutoring math at SCCC. Since we had both worked at KAPL, although not concurrently, we nevertheless had many common acquaintances and work experiences to share. Any time our hours overlapped, I could always count on having a knowledgeable colleague to consult with when a student had a problem that I found challenging. And during slack times at the MAth Lab, I would always enjoy sharing laughs with Jim, and sometimes even delving into engineering consulting problems that he was working on at the time. He will be much missed.

To Jim's family, I am so sorry for Jim's passing. I cherish the long time acquaintance Jim and I shared at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory. He was a quality engineer and a quality friend. We were both born in northeastern New Jersey almost exactly two years apart. We took great pleasure sharing NJ stories in NJ dialect and jargon! Once following a trip he brought back a coaster for me from the Bendix Dinner. And speaking of which, Jim, if you can hear me, I'll see you down the road someday in that great Bendix Dinner in the sky.

We haven't been in touch for years as we moved out of the area. We remember Jim at our wedding catching the garter and putting it on my sister. Glad he married as she didn't. Ah well.. I know he will be missed. My daughter Kristy knew him as a client and she talked fondly of him. Our condolences to his family.

Jim was a wonderful person. I appreciated how he could enjoy other people's pleasures and enthusiasms, show such kindness, share his sense of humor, work hard, exhibit curiosity, and play a mean game of Rummikube. He was delightful to be around, and he and Mary-Alice made their camp up at the lake an extra-special place. Rest easy, Jim, you made our world a kinder, better place. Kate N.

Sorry for the loss of Jim. We worked together to deliver the USS Virginia. I graduated from Newark College of Engineering one year after Jim.
