I am sorry about the passing of Mrs. Green. She was my math teacher at Know Jr. High, and I loved her class. She also sold my mother my World Book Encyclopedia in 1964, for my 16th birthday. I still use that set of books as reference, despite all the technological methods now available. In later years, she worked with my parents,Florence and Ward Klock, at the Gloversville Senior Center in the kitchen band - Dad played the musical saw. What a great woman - she will be missed.

I was out of town all weekend, returned home tonight Sun., and read the news in the paper. Tomorrow, I have to go out of town again, but I will be there in spirit. I always enjoyed talking with Betty and looked forward to singing with her every summer in the Mayfield Community Chorus. She did a lot of good for a lot of people and brought a sharp wit and a sense of humor to all she did. She will be missed- and remembered with great affection.

Mrs. Green was my 7th grade math teacher and my algebra tutor when I was out sick for three months in 8th grade. I would not have passed algebra without her help. I still remember her unique sayings to help remember a formula, etc. She was a great teacher and an even nicer lady.

Dear Sandy,
I was so shocked to hear of your Mom's passing.
Since I joined the Eastern Zone Executive Committee, starting in 1998, she was always there working for the betterment of the organization.
She will be more than missed. Betty will leave a gaping hole in her county unit, the EZ, and the state.
May God give you strength at this difficult time.
Sincerely, and with love,
Diane Hahn

Dear Sandy and your family,
You and your Mom sure were quite a team. How wonderful that you had her with you for so many years; plenty of memories and wisdom to help you through the tough days. She certainly was blessed with your good nature and willingness to "go the distance".
While a leader in so many groups, we Eastern Zone Retired Teachers will miss her terribly. An EZ meeting won't be the same without her. I remember her dedication to the Community Service Committee for The NYSRTA. When she told me she couldn't serve any longer she apologized for letting me down. I told her it wasn't possible for her to let me down.
Best regards,
Jennifer Gardella

Dear Family: Peace be with you all. Mrs. Green was a grand lady. She was my third grade teacher and I have always been fond of her. She always knew me whenever we would meet over the years. Most recently I had the pleasure of seeing and talking with her at Sunset Bay where my wife and I also have a camp. We often visited while riding around on our golf carts. She was very proud to talk about her family and how involved she was at church and with the Retired Teacher's Assoc. She was so vibrant and lively.

Mrs. Green was my Homeroom and Math teacher during my years at Knox back in the late 70’s. She was always a strict disciplinarian who expected and demanded your very best. I can say we didn’t always see eye to eye but I always knew she was looking out for all of the children she taught! She was a great Teacher who I will always remember and admire! My condolences to the family she will surely be missed.
