Obituary of Donald T. Bartholomew
Donald T. Bartholomew, 51, of Fultonville passed away peacefully at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady on March 31, 2011 with his loving wife by his side. He was born October 22, 1959 in Hudson, NY. He was the son of Donald R. Bartholomew and Judith B. Haner Talarico.
Donald went to Chatham Central School, he graduated in the class of 1977. Soon after he graduated high school he enlisted into the United States Marine Corp., he was honorably discharged in 1980. During his time as a Marine he married Andrea Richardson on January 6, 1979. They shared a union of 32 years together. Donald and Andrea moved to the area with their family in 1995. He was a member of the Rural Grove Vol. Fire Dept., the Church Town Rod and Gun Club and a life member of the CH Evans Hook & Ladder in Hudson, NY. He was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed boating, camping, fishing and hunting. Most of all he loved his family and cherished his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Andrea Bartholomew of Fultonville, his son Donald T. Bartholomew, Jr.Tammy Brenn of Ontario Canada, his daughters Courtney BestWalter of Fulton, NY, Natalie BartholomewRicky Vogel of Ft. Plain and Kerry Babcock of Oswego, NY; his beloved grandchildren, Ryan Bartholomew, Montana Bartholomew and Michael Best; his step mother Mary Ellin Bartholomew of Port Orange, FL. He is also survived by his sisters Donna Peck Jimmy, Sherry Hansen Paul and Julie Otty, Half brothers Jonathan and Joshua Bartholomew. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He is predeceased by his step father, Robert Talarico and his brother Thomas J. Bartholomew.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St. Fultonville, NY 12072. In accordance to Donny?s wishes there will be no visitation and a funeral service will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Cremation will take place at Vale Cemetery Crematorium in Schenectady.
