Obituary of Ernest N. Shull
A true American Original, Mr. Ernest N. "Bill" Shull, Jr., 67, of Youngs Corners Road, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at home surrounded by his family. Born on December 15, 1943 in Angleton, Texas, he was the son of the late Ernest N. Shull, Sr. and Johnnie Louise Smith. He was also predeceased by his step-father William Shepley.
Bill was a 1962 graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School, thereafter serving in the Army National Guard. Bill's lifelong career as a Line Man for Niagara Mohawk lasted for 37 years until his retirement. He was a lover and collector of classic cars, Harleys, John Deere tractors and antiques, and he enjoyed tinkering in his workshop. Bill will be remembered for being a "Cool Cat" from the start, a gentleman with panache and charisma, and the eagerness to lend a helping hand whenever needed. His belief that time should not be taken for granted, was reflected in how deeply he cherished the people in his life, always embracing opportunities to make new friends and learn new things. His fun spirit, gentle advice and endless supply of love and adoration are how he will be remembered by his daughters. Bill's smile, sense of humor, one liners, captivating stories, memorable dancing skills and loving nature will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his three shining stars, his daughters; Sally Louise Aguero and her husband Michael of Roanoke, VA, Billie Jo Shull of Amsterdam, NY and Bobbie Jean Shull of Winter Springs, FL; their mother and his previous wife; Joyce Ann Shull of the Town of Florida; his grandson; Aiden Miguel Aguero; one sister; Barbara Budney and her husband Richard of Saratoga, NY; two nephews; Dean and Greg Budney and his beloved hound dog Lucy.
