Connie and family,
I am so sorry to hear about Humbert. I really though he would live to at least 100 He was a great man and I will so miss him. You were the two " special couple" I made time for when I came home for a visit. He always had a big smile and equally as big of a heart. He was always there for me when I needed him as an employer and came to be good friend. He is probley making gloves right now!
Please take care Connie and know you are in my thoughts and heart. I know you have 3 great sons and lots of other family that will be there for you.
Love always,
June

To Mr. Saluzzo's family
Your Dad was a good friend to my Father John Konik whom we lost in November of 2007. Shortly before his passing, he and your Dad had a visit at MaryJo's home in Caroga Lake - neighbors of my brother John's and I have a very nice photo I took of them. Though I didn't know him well my Dad always spoke highly and fondly of Humbert and he was a lifelong friend. I thank you for that and the memories they shared. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. They were both exceptional men/fathers/grandfathers and husbands. Be thankful for all the years and wonderful memories we were able to share with them.
Most sincerely
Jan-Marie Konik

I am so sorry to hear of Bert's passing. He was a very gracious person and a man of character. He appeared to enjoy the little things in life and was always smiling when he saw you. I am grateful for the opportunity to have known him and I am a better person because of it. He was an example of the type of person we should all aspire to be.

To be sure, Humbert Salluzzo was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and patriot. But, he was also my Godfather and my Dad's best friend.
While our visits were sporadic and contacts dimmed over time, whenever I saw my Godfather, I would be greeted with a beaming smile, a warm embrace and yet another story about his and my Dad's adventures.
When he was well over 90, he went back to his glove shop to hand cut three pair of deerskin gloves for his Godson. I have taken great pride in those gloves and revel in asking my friends "Who over 60 can say they have gloves handmade by his 90+ year old Godfather?"
He is simply one of the best of the best. He will remain forever in our thoughts and prayers.
Goodbye Goomba.

Dear Bob & Family:
I go way way back with your father, to the Gloversville Little league and to Troop 8 at Mount Carmel and Woodward Lake. He was a wonderful man and a great guy. I'm so glad he lived such a long productive life, even though in the short term his loss will be devastating.
My kindest regards and thoughts,

My condolences to the entire Salluzzo family. I can't help but think back to the early years we shared. The schools, the neighborhoods, and growing up together in the north end all helped to shape who we are today.
I wish the best for you, your families, and their families, now and in the future.

Mrs. Salluzzo and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Salluzzos passing. He was such a wonderful man. I have such fond memories of him when we would all get together for gatherings with Gram Shepard and the family. I also will never forget how welcome he made me feel at the glove shop when I would come with Mom to work, when school was out, and he would let me stay the day, and go ice skating down below at the field and then have lunch with everyone at the shop. He was one of a kind, and I just wish there were more people like him in the world today. If there is anything we can do, please let us know. Cheryl & family

My sincere sympathy goes out to Connie and the Salluzzo/Lomanto families. When my Dad passed away last year, Connie said, "He was one of the greatest men to walk the face of the earth." Well, Humbert was another one! He and my Dad were great friends and two special people. I can never forget bowling on Monday nights when I was a kid. I have nothing but great memories of Humbert and my Dad. Thanks for the memories Humbert. You were a great man and I will never forget your contagious smile, funny jokes, and great laugh!
Our condolences to the family.
Love,
Harry, Susan, and Kevin Lauria
