Obituary of Frank S. Raym
Mr. Frank S. Raym, 93 of Clear Water, Florida formerly of Canajoharie, NY passed away peacefully Saturday, May 28, 2011 at East Bay Rehabilitation Center in Florida. He was born April 27, 1918 in Harvey, IL the son of the late Frank and Emma Raym.
Frank was a graduate of Fonda-Fultonville High School. He then went into the United States Army and served in WWII and Normandy. He was a proud Veteran. He married the late Virginia Nellis Raym on May 14, 1942, their union lasted a beautiful fifty four years until her passing in 1996. He worked for the US Department of Agriculture as a Field Manager for several years until his retirement. He and his wife then moved to Florida in 1976. While in the Canajoharie area, Frank was a member of the Reformed Church in Canajoharie.
Survivors include his two sons Lawrence Raym of San Antonio, FL and Gerald Raym of Clear Water, FL., Seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. He is also survived by his brother Glen Raym of Canajoharie and a sister Delores Marks of Iowa. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Imn addition to his parents he is predeceased byhis brother Wesley Raym and sister Dorothy James.
Funeral services for Frank will be on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 1PM at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. Rev. Miriam Barnes will preside. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday evening, June 3, 2011 from 6PM to 9PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fort Plain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home office.
