Obituary of Nickolaus Alan Frisch
Nickolaus Alan Frisch passed away Tuesday evening, June 7, 2011, in the loving arms of his mommy and daddy, Shawnee and Jeffrey Frisch of Troy, NY. Nickolaus was born July 5, 2007. He was an extraordinary little boy who suffered from a rare and debilitating illness, which he fought for almost four years. He brought enormous joy to a lot of people, including his best friend, Emily Walbroehl, and had a smile that lit up the world around him.
Nickolaus is survived by his loving parents, his devoted paternal grandmother Vicki and step-grandfather Keith Simonds, three uncles Jason Amber Frisch, Justin Megan Frisch, Jeremy Kristen Frisch, paternal great grandparents Carl and Joyce Frisch, cousins Zachary, Brayden, Hunter, Olivia, Samuel, and Annabelle. On his maternal side, Nickolaus is survived by grandparents Paula and Thomas Jackson, great grandparents Betty and David Osborn, aunt Yvonne David Ambrosino and cousins, Izabella and Hannah Ambrosino. Nickolaus was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Robin Alan Frisch and paternal great grandparents Robert and Norma Claus.
Calling hours for Nickolaus will be held on Friday from 4-7 pm at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Relatives and friends are invited and may also attend his graveside service and balloon release Saturday at 11:00 am at the Broadalbin Union Mills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nickolaus' name to the United Leukodystrophy Foundation in care of the funeral home office, Amsterdam 12010. Finally, in loving memory of Nickolaus, keep his spirit alive: smile at someone, even if you do not know him or her.
