Dear Mullarkey Family,
I graduated with Tom from SMI in 1960. Attached is a photo from our 50th reunion which was celebrated in 2010.
Also, Tom and I were teammates on our 1959-60 championship basketball team. The second photo shows a few of us accepting the Diocesan League Championship trophy with Coach Howlan. The third photo, from 1956 shows our eighth grade class at SMI. Tom is the first person on the left, three rows from the bottom.
The message I sent to Catherine a few days ago is copied below:
Dear Catherine,
Please accept my condolences on the passing of your Dad.
Tom was a dear friend, SMI classmate, basketball teammate, and a man of integrity. He was a top student at SMI and always a gentleman. It was impossible to not like Tom. I distinctly remember frequently visiting Tom and your grandmother at their residence on Hawk street in Amsterdam during the 1950s. Tom had a small pool table where we spent many hours. Also, I last saw Tom at my Mother's funeral in Amsterdam in 2016. His presence meant a great deal to me.
May Tom rest in peace.
