Michael was my best friend !!! We met when we were in our 20's and no one could have had a closer friend. We did almost everything together: enjoying old tunes - Piano and clarinet and vocals, basketball (Michael rebounded, knew I would be at the foul line, passed it to me, and I threw it right back to him for an easy layup.) And he could pass that football...like nothing you had ever seen. We shared theater. He was a fabulous actor! But, the main bond of our friendship was that we shared life. Every aspect! There was no one like him. His humor, his friendship, will always stay with the tears. Eli, I knew as a baby and he delighted me fully. And still does. Carol I know for the 40 plus years she was with Michael. (I was their best man). What a great couple. Shared laughter and joy. Carol, you were the greatest partner to Michael. Love you.
And Lily - God, he loved you and was so proud of you. My heart goes out to you three. His loss is deep. He was a uniquely great man. And the best friend one could ever have. Boy, I was lucky. Michael - " where has the time all gone to...haven't done half the things we'd want to...oh, well, we'll catch up Some Other Time." (Michael loved this tune and lyrics.) Michael -

Michael enriched our lives with his sharp wit, his big heart, his generosity, his friendship and love. If you like George Jessel, you had to love Michael who could mimic him perfectly! Michael was always the life of our parties, playing the piano with pizzaz, gifting us with gourmet cheese and fruit platters, adding sparkle and laughter to every conversation.
