Obituary of Linda Marie DeLuca

Fort Johnson- Linda Marie DeLuca, 69, passed away on Wednesday, August 30^th, 2023, at home.

Born on September 21, 1953, in Peekskill, New York, a daughter of the late Sylvester “Sam” and June (Barrett) DeLuca. Linda graduated from Peekskill High School in 1971.

Linda worked in human services most of her career; she worked for Liberty ARC, Schoharie Co. ARC and after over 30 years in service, Linda retired in November 2020 from Living Resources. Over her career, she earned the love of many clients and friends. Linda was an avid reader and avid animal lover; she loved horses and horseback riding; often you would find Linda feeding the squirrels and hummingbirds. Most of all, Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

Linda is survived by her high school sweetheart, Anthony DeLuca, whom she married on July 3, 1976; her daughters, Stephanie Pollak (Brent) and Katherine DeLuca; grandchildren, Charlotte, Grace and A.J. Pollak; sister, Susan Callahan (Ed); several nieces & nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 11am at St. Stephan’s Catholic Church, 51 S. Pawling Ave, Hagaman with The Very Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis E.V. as Celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Linda’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1357, New York, New York, 10018.
