My first interaction with Mrs. clo was at Park Terrace in 2nd grade Mrs. Lomanto’s class. She forever had a smile on her face and the warmest welcome. I was always fascinated by her jewelry with Whales and I forever remember her when I see them. My senior year of high school we moved across the street from the infamous Cleo’s and she insisted on calling her Doris. I just couldn’t do it. She will ever be a light in my life that hold very dear to my heart. My deepest condolences to all of her friends, family and those who were graced with her presence. RIP Mrs. Clo!

I also want to make mention that Doris also knew our children William and Leah Gleeman and will be joining Leah within a month of her passing, July 31st at age 21 from cystic fibrosis related complications. Leah will be in good company as they both join the angels where we'll all meet our loved ones in Heaven someday.

Doris Clo was one of the nicest people I've ever met. She was a sophisticated, generous and caring woman of whom I share many happy memories at St. James and Grace Lutheran Churches. I especially enjoyed sharing in the worship music liturgy there with Doris. She will be remembered fondly. Our condolences to all the Clo family with love from Susan Gleeman and family

My heart felt love and sympathy to all who knew Mrs. Clo. Especially to her close friends and family, who will so dearly miss her ( I am one of those). Mrs. Clo so positively impacted the lives of everyone who came in contact with her. Such a dear, sweet soul. She is not gone, her love and energy can never dissapate. She is truley with all of us now.

Mr. Clo - I am so sorry for your loss. Your wife enjoyed the many, many years with you. She will always be a part of your memory. I spent many hours of my high school years as a clarinet player under your direction. May you be comforted by the prayers from many of your friends. Love, Bob Ellis GHS '65

Lisa, Cindy and John, I am saddened to hear of the loss of your mother. She was an exceptional lady. I loved talking with her when I lived in Gloversville and visiting with her. I sent her a Birthday Card one year and she wrote me a letter telling me how all three of you were doing and how proud of you she was. One time when I was visiting my family, I was driving by the Post Office and saw her carrying 3 grocery bags. I parked and asked her if I could give her a ride home. She said, if you could take these bags to my house, then I can do some more shopping! I lost my sweet mother a few months ago so I know that there is a big hole in your hearts right now. They were friends and I am sure they are meeting each other in Heaven and they are happy. I am sending my love and my prayers to you and your families right now. We have so many happy memories of our moms that will sustain us for a long time. Love you all, Ericia

Doris was like my Mother. We would go "down the line" to a doctor's appointment then always to the diner for lunch. We laughed and she was loved by the waitresses there...then the past few times to the special bakery to bring goodies home. She was an angel in disguise here on Earth. I do and will miss her with my whole heart. She got me through so much with her kind ways..and her love. That hello on the phone saying this is your Mom..and her tiny little body ..saying give me a hug ...breaks my heart ♥ But I will see her again ...prayers to the family that she loved dearly ...

There are no adequate words to say how much of an honor it was to know this woman. Her joy, vitality, faith and so much more brightened our church and my life personally in a million different ways. She will be missed and she was loved and she will always be remembered. She leaves a God shaped hole in our hearts.
