Very sorry to hear this. Nick was always a very straight up guy. One of NYS' best Wts and Measures inspectors. My condolences.

Nick was one of the first “old timers” to mentor me back at my first Weights & Measures Training School at SUNY Morrisville in August 2000. Made me feel welcomed & comfortable (it also helped that we met later again in the evening at the “The Fort” - the famous watering hole in center of the college town at the time. The only place with air conditioning) and that everything was going to be alright. Played Horseshoes, shot the breeze, and picked up a valuable W&M education. He was a great lecturer and story teller.
He was a true W&M legend. The “old” Country boy taught the Brooklyn City boy a few lessons.
Funny, I thought he was “old”. Evidently he wasn’t as old as I thought at the time, just wise. We all enjoyed his company and learned so much. He had a great smile and liked to laugh. Thank you Nick.

Cousin Nick was always fun to be with and to get "in trouble" together. We shared many good times at our grandfather's camp in Galway.

Nick and I shared many good times together as we grew up, we spent many summers at Grandpa Mike's camp on Galway Lake.
Looking back we had a lot of fun but I'm sure we caused some worry during our stay, always wandering in the woods.
We did not see each other as much after we grew up but always had some good conversations when we did talk.
I will miss him.
Jessie, Kristen, Karri, all the grandchildren and Marybeth we are sorry for your loss.
