Donna,Bryan,Randy,Tracy and families we are very sorry for your loss.Gordy was introduced to me as my mother’s cousin (Barbara Warner Brown)when I was very young as the mechanic in the family who can fix anything and he did as I would grow into a teenager I would often need his help and he was always very helpful it was an honor being in the old garage at Charles’s with him to learn what the new “problem” was I would always absorb whatever he would say as he was a mechanical legend!! He was also was the king of the ass busters no doubt about that and definitely as said a kid at heart definitely one great memory of him at the Fonda fair late 80’s?? We’re in the beer tent Gordy comes over to me and my wife and says we’re going on every ride in here….right now! And we did time passes fast and I should’ve been around more.
I would often run into him here and there it was always a good time to see him and that smile and talk about things.Being a lifelong mechanic myself I always admired him. A mechanics job is not easy very challenging on many fronts and he conquered them all I’ve been lot of places in motorsports met a lot of people he still ranks in the top five of all the mechanical people I’ve ever known. He is the Golden Wrench may he Rest In Peace

The loss of someone you have literally grown up with has an immeasurable impact on a person. Randy & Tracy, your Father I respected long before we ever started working together. Donna, what more can I say? For almost 15 years we worked together, he referred to me as "Shorty" or "Shortstop" or "Half-a-Head" and I gave it right back to him with "Jordy" not Gordy but Jordy all the time. Here's the kicker though, now until it's my time to leave this roller coaster called life, I will always associate Queen Anne Road with 3 people, Freddie--Gordy---and the Wolff's. And, every time I drive by (just because it's a piece of solitude out that way) as I do now, I will continue to say---"There's Jordy's House"...My deepest sympathies. -Tony

Donna,
What a beautiful write up for a great guy. I’ve known Gordy since the 60’s and he was always so much fun to be around. As far as his mechanical abilities, no one better. So many laughs and fond memories. Please accept my sincere condolences. Rest in peace my friend.

He was the 'Man' that could fix anything, make anything run, build a dune buggy or an air machine, the list goes on and on... We had so much fun with him as kids, because he too was just a kid at heart. He will be missed by so many, I think everyone he touched was better for it. It's hard to imagine him not being at the garage because he was always there. While my head knows he no longer feels the pain or has the worries, my heart has not adjusted yet. I will continue to miss you, love you and hope to see you on the other side. RIP Uncle Gordy.
