My condolences to his amazing wife and to his boys and to all his grannd kids Sal was a great guy and i was blessed as a young kid to know sal by playing sports with his kids and then being taught in 7th grade science if you ever had the hicxups he said come here grab a glass of water he would plug your ears and mske you drink the water and your hiccups were gone a trick i still use on my kids today . I am so sorry for your loss. Mr Furnare was one of my favorite teachers. I learned so much from him and he truly loved the kids he taught. He seemed to have unlimited patience explaining things to us. He was a wonderful person. Again my condolences.

RIP Mr Furnare! Not only a great teacher, but his involvement outside of school was so instrumental in our adolescent life’s in FVille - Cub Scouts, hunter safety, organizing the FF parades, etc. He even helped us kids put streamers on our bicycle wheels for the parades. Fultonville was a tough place growing up and we needed more Mr. Furnare’s! Fortunately for us, we had one Mr. Furnare - and for many of us - that made the difference, and we are very grateful that we had his influence. He is one of the reasons that I became a lifelong blood donor! Not because I have a rare blood type, but because “it’s the right thing to do,” which we all learned during science class when he tested all of our blood types. I learned so much more then Science from this man! I send my deepest condolences to his family!
