Obituary of Katherine L. Fura

Ms. Katherine L. “Katie” Fura, 35, of Broadalbin, NY died suddenly on February 17, 2022 following a brief illness.  Born in Amsterdam, NY on November 22, 1986 she was the daughter of Francis S. “Frank’ Fura and Francine L. Robbins. 

A lifelong area resident, Katie was a 2004 graduate of Broadalbin Perth High School.  She was a licensed nail technician and took great pride in her work. She also worked at the Amsterdam Price Chopper in the floral department for over 15 years.   Katie also loved Japanese culture and anime.  She was truly a Cat Lady and loved being a mama to her four fur babies, Ralphie, Alice, Elliot and Annabelle.   Katie will be remembered for always having style, a little bling and some rose-gold, and a big heart, who loved fiercely.  

Survivors include her mother, Francine; her father, Frank; one brother, Zachary Fura and his wife Heather; her beloved niece, Everly; cousins and friends.  

A Service of Remembrance will take place on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 7p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home with Peter J.
