Katie was one of the most beautiful, creative, and sensitive human beings I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She was incredible, and had such a unique magic about her. To Francine and family, they say energy cannot be created or destroyed. I wish so much Katie had more earthly time…however I do know that a person like her, lives on and on in the hearts and minds of everyone she touched, always. She will always be there in spirit whenever light hits something glittery. She will always be there in spirit when the cats are being maniacs for no reason. She will always be there in spirit whenever a butterfly flaps its wings and picks the prettiest flower to sun-on. That’s her. Much love to everyone. Katie was absolutely inspirational, and her memory will always be a blessing.

My favorite memory of Katie is taking her to NYC when she was still in high school.. Her main goal while there was to find a cool pair of Vans sneakers. In our quest to do this, we got lost and couldn't remember where we parked. Katie, however, remembered one significant landmark for where we parked-- we were near a kiosk that sold hanging flying pigs. So off we went, looking everywhere for flying pigs! Turned out, that was the key. We finally found the flying pigs and were able to go home.
Katie, you have always been a part of my life from the time you were born, and your absence will leave an irreplaceable void.
I know Grandma and Uncle Terry are up there waiting for you with their own signs to bring you to their home.
I love you and will miss you.
