It was my privilege and honor to work with Lou at CONTEL/NY from 1983 to 1991 and later when we were both in Albany, NY. Lou always gave 100% with a smile and was a good friend to all. I don't think I ever heard a negative word from Lou in all the years I knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Gail, and with your family. I will miss Lou.

Dear Gail, Lou and Marcie;
In married life our Best Friend is our spouse and we have both been blessed by that.
I have known Lou for over 60 years and during that time on this earth if you have a very Best Friend consider yourself Blessed. For me that was Louie. Lou was like a brother to me. We shared each others thoughts , opinions always respectable and most of the time we were on the same page. We shared our Love for Family and for God and country. Lou had an exceptional career serving his country and I will always be proud of him for that.
From the beginning visiting him at his home on Kent Street and his wonderful mother with open arms always , happy to see us and you dare not say no when she came out with 25 pounds of dough or a big pan of meatballs. Who would in their right mind would say no. Yes, then there was the call, and very loud, Louie get out of bed. So funny. She gave me something with sauce one time and I ate it and asked her what I just ate. It was Squid and I was not going to say no and hurt her feelings. I know this is about Lou but those were fond memories of him at his home.
When we were attending college at Hudson Valley, Lou often gave me a ride from Gloversville back to Troy. MaMa Mia , cause he would say he's going to pick me up at a certain time but came maybe an hour or more later. He was driving a 56 Ford at the time . I said on one trip back we needed to be at the Albany Medical Center Nursing school to bring a friend some things from home. It would be close and said to me , Henry you drive. Got on the Thruway , maybe 90 miles per hour and at got there in 22 minutes per Lou as he tells it.
Who would ever imagine Lou and I would marry 2 girls from Amsterdam and live around the corner from one another. What a Blessing that was. I remember attending your wedding ceremony at MT. Carmel, same church Carolyn and I would be married.
I would become your son's Godfather for confirmation . Marcie would come with us on a trip to Disney World.
Through the years we would spend many hours with you and always a lot of fun. Sometimes arriving at 1pm and leaving at 11pm. Yes, Gail you always had to go all out with a meal, and it was always so good and just enjoyed that time breaking bread with you and Lou.
I'm certain you know I have been praying for Lou for a long time and there are really no words to express the sorrow I feel for your loss. My sincerest sympathy and condolences with God's Eternal Blessings for Lou and our Love to you Gail, Lou and Marcie in memory of a Wonderful Husband, Father , Brother, Uncle and Friend . My Love to you and your family. With Love always to my Brother Lou, until we meet again, Henry

Gail, Lou and Marcie:
My heart is truly breaking for you and all of your family. Lou was such an intricate part of so many lives. He was a special friend to me and a long time friend of Henry's. Our families were intertwined as the kids were growing up and he was so supportive of all of them. Little did we know just a few short months ago when we stayed with you during my brother's funeral that it would be the last time we spent with Lou. We had many talks, sometimes minor disagreements, but most of all a lot of laughter and good times.
Please know that Lou will always be a part of our lives and we will hold him in our hearts forever. Know, also, that whenever you need a shoulder, we are but a phone call away. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May Lou rest in peace and may God bestow many blessing upon him as he makes his journey home. Love you all!
