Mom was a wonderful mother-in-law and immediately welcomed me into the family! She was a loving grandmother to her both her human grandchildren as well as her furry grandbabies. I think of her and smile anytime I see anything owl related. I will miss our conversations the most. It has been an honor to share her name.

I was blessed to know Mrs. Thompson when my son attended Park Terrace Elementary. She was such a wonderful woman and so loved her students. I am also a retired teacher from Gloversville (GHS). Also, my maternal grandmother was Emma Eagan from Johnstown and I know there is some family connection there. Mrs. Thompson was truly one of the best and the world will be a little less wonderful without her. Lori DeVoe

Jean was a very special person. I’m just her son & daughter-in-laws tenant & friend but she made me feel part of the family. She must have been a great teacher as she remembered so many of her students fondly & had some sweet first grade stories. When she was really sick in the hospital & confused she just wanted me to get her classroom so her students would not be alone .(she didn’t remember that she had retired) She was a huge animal lover & she’s passed that down to her children & grandchildren!! Her sly dry sense of humor & quick wit is only part of the legacy she passed on to her family friends & students. She will be missed. Rest easy now Jean it’s recess!
