After college graduation, John worked on the staff of Governor Nelson Rockefeller, then GAB Adjustments. Sports was a major love of his life and helping children get involved in sports. John loved Notre Dame “Go Irish!”, golf, cooking, westerns, his beloved cats, and most of all his time with beloved family, friends and golfing buddies. John’s fondest memories are of his loving parents, sisters, cousins, the Feast of the Fishes every Christmas, summers at the VanSkyver Cabins on Sacandaga Lake with his wife and children, shared parenting with his sister, and time with wife, children and grandchildren. John was always interested in continuing to learn, was engaged in conversation, and even in these last months cooking and cookbooks. We loved him and will miss him with all our hearts, and hope he is resting in peace.
