Obituary of Susan E. Jette

Mrs. Susan E. Jette, 67, of Amsterdam, NY died peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 following a brief illness.   Born in Springfield, MA she was the daughter of the late George and Helen Buckley Jones.

 

Susan was educated in Springfield and moved to Amsterdam in 1984.  She was employed as an EMT for GAVAC and later worked for St. Mary’s Healthcare until her retirement.  Sue also was a sign language instructor and in the Library at Bishop Scully High School.

 

She was of the Roman Catholic faith and was active with The Amsterdam Marching Rams Booster Club while her children attended AHS.  She will be remembered for being a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

 

She was predeceased by her brother, Ross P. Jones in 2000.

 

Survivors include her three children, Kyle (Stephanie) Jette of Alexandria, VA, Kristin Jette (Art Howes) of Amsterdam, NY and Kevin (Jennifer) Jette of Mechanicville, NY; seven grandchildren, Alexis O’Dell, Jack Jette, Luke Jette, Grayson Jette, Molly O’Dell, Collins Jette, Rylan Jette; two brothers, Fr. Neil  G. Jones, M.S. and Reid B. Jones; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
