Dear Kevin, Kristen and Kyle,
Please accept my sincere sympathy and deepest condolences for the loss of your wonderful, caring and loving mother Sue.
I will always remember her helping out at the football games, attending booster meetings, and giving of her time to all the Amsterdam Marching Rams. She was a "giver", someone who looked out for the good of others which especially included her beautiful and caring children.
I am thinking of you in my thoughts and prayers.
Much love,
Stephanie Boice

I am so upset to learn that Susan passed away! We had reconnected when I was running for Mayor and we had some great conversations on her front porch. Her foot was driving her crazy but she always had a smile on her face. She was a hard working caring Mom and woman who loved her children like crazy and was so proud of them! May she Rest In Peace

I've had the privilege of knowing Mrs. Jette (I never called her Susan even as an adult and eventual coworker) for a very long time. I've been friends with her son Kevin since the first grade, and I'd like to share just one of my experiences with her.
A few years ago I had to take my son Max into St. Mary's Hospital for a minor routine procedure. At the time he was only 9 and even though it was a small surgery I was worried that my son, who has Down Syndrome, may not understand what was going on and that frightened me. I remember walking him into the hospital and being worried. I remember registering him and getting more nervous and then waiting in the OR waiting area in a bed I remember my son being happy as usual, but I was a bundle of nerves.
.........And then the doors to the OR opened and in walks Mrs. Jette.
Just seeing her instantly put me at ease. She smiled at my son who smiled back and I told her how nervous I was and how much better she made me feel knowing that she would be the one I'd be handing my son off too. The procedure went fine, Max was fine (he was super giggly after being put under), and I was relieved. My entire experience was made better because Mrs. Jette was just being herself. A dedicated worker, a strong woman and a soothing presence for me. A year later when I was interviewing for a position at St. Mary's I referenced that experience and explained that I wanted to be that person for others, I wanted to be some else Mrs. Jette.
Thank you Mrs. Jette for all you've done.

Kevin and family,
As I write this, I think about your mom and how proud she was of you and your children. The last time I saw her, we shared pictures and you could see the love she had for you, Jen and your children. She was always so supportive of everything you did, from all of our marching band trips, to baseball games. You and your family are all in my thoughts. Love you all.

Our Petersen family branch has known Sue for +10 years. Even before the Jette family officially merged with the Petersen family, Sue showed her love and kindness to our branch. Our daughter Amelia had her tonsils out on her 5th birthday. Unknown to us, upon arrival for surgery, Sue was on shift. When she saw Amelia was there she devoted much time and energy ensuring Amelia was at ease for surgery, checking in on her and providing us updates as to how all was progressing, and ultimately finding a party hat for Amelia to wear while she lead a Happy Birthday serenade when Amelia was ready to go home. We really appreciated her attention that day and enjoyed watching her love her children & grandchildren at every family gathering. She will be dearly missed and thought of lovingly now and forever.

It is with sadness to hear of Sue”s passing. We always enjoyed working together and she was a talented and special scrub nurse who always took great pride in her work. I will cherish my last visit with her and keep our special memories and jokes in my heart...especially about the “corn toasties”...only she and my fellow coworkers would understand. My thoughts and prayers to her family. She will be missed.

Dear Kevin & Family,
I was surprised and saddened to read about your mother's passing. She was a hard working woman who was immensely proud of you as I am sure she was of all her children and grandchildren. I was always happy to see her and chat briefly with her at work. It has been several years since I have seen her but I know her love and dedication to her family and those she cared for is a a gift whose memory did not die with her passing.
May your memories and faith in all the goodness your Mom shared with you and others provide you with comfort and peace.
Sincerely,
Mark Romani
