Dear Marianne, Alice, John, Diane & Cathi,
Please accept our deepest sympathy on the passing of your beloved Rita. I'll never forget her and what a sweet soul she was. I'll always remember her visits to my grandma's house when we were kids; how Gram loved feeding her and watch her eat! Even in her later years, while doing her hair, she'd talk about the old days of the West End and her childhood in the Bronx, answering my questions about back then about "who was who"...and she always knew! She gave me insite into a time before me that I never knew; truly more " on the ball" than many realized. We'd laugh about her love for Derek Jeter; she'd say, " oooh he's so cute!" and I'd tease her, saying that , as long as he was single, she'd have a chance! She sure wasn't happy when he DID get married!! Always talked about my grandparents and all the others she missed so very much..and about her family who the adored. I know that there is a beautiful reunion up in Heaven as she is welcomed by everyone. She is, I'm sure, an angel....wearing her wings and a Yankees cap! Cousin Rita is loved and will be forever missed. Rest in peace, dear Rita.
Hugs , love & sympathy,
Angela, Michelle, Anthony & families
