Dad you will forever be missed and loved. We have had our problems for few years now and we let that get in the way of so much time together but growing up you custody of me and mary since I was 6 months old. We've had 4step moms from you but I really wouldnt change a thing because the step mom that raised us is still in my life to this day and is the woman who taught me how to be a mom and a person with manners and respect and basicaly everything that I raised my 8 wonderful kids with and when you got with this woman you gave us 2 baby brothers who I wouldnt want my life without. Thankyou for all the things you did for us kids growing up. Thankyou for being the amazing poppy to my first born samantha leigh groves. I love the relationship ypu had with samantha and for the one u had with my son tony. I remember you always taking me back and forth to albany almost daily for some times weeks and we did that so much for tonus first 2 years of his life. And being right there with me through all his heart surgeries. And thanks for always watching sam and tony for me when john had vicki for the weekend u would sit in the hot van with sam and tony in the hpttest days of summer while they wld sit in that hot van and drive u crazy and i was only 18 so I waa was new to the mom job and those 2 would be so bad for you and call you every name in the book by the time I got out to the van you wanted to kill me....lol..but the older they got some of those were your favorite stories to tell.. That and how sam only wanted her poppy when she was little over 2 and had to be put to sleep to get several teeth out when she woke up you were so happy and proud cuz all your granddaughter wanted was her poppy. I love how close you and sam were cause her father was not around for her as a dad but you were there for her since she took her first breath and stopped to aunt barbs for coffee so We could see jeannie and patrick cuz she was just going home when I was giving birth. I believe they are a day apart. I could go on and on with so many good memories growing up as kids and then some of the shit mary and I pulled as young teens when it was mary you and me and we had the boys everyweekend those were when you became me and marys cool dad and Well we prbly took advantage of that a little...lol boy thankyou for being the dad you were cuz mary and me and our friends had great times at our first apt after you and barb split up. Mary and I loved no rules just doing dishes if we got in to trouble( which we did. Daily) but it was fun. When we were so close and I was young and it waa just you and me and gary and brad everyweekend and mary was living other places when we first moved to amsterdam and we wld pick up the boys on friday and go to captain video rent them video gamws for the weekend and then we would just have fun but whenever you went grocery shopping withoit me you let the boys buy whatever they wanted and you wld buy oreos and oreos and then that was all we wld eat..dads junkfood.. Then I stopped your oreo buying. Then we all grew up and slowly we drifted apart at times and shit happens and its all done and over with now and sadly none of us will ever get to hug you or laugh with or or even argue with you because we lost. Brad and you and me had our diffrences over issues but when they were little I can remember how close you and the boya were and how much love you had for them and us girls and those are the memories Im going to hold close as we are saying. Goodbye to you. I do and I have and I will always love you dad. Rest in peacw and say hi to everyone up there we are missing so dearly...
