Obituary of Timothy D. Hall

Timothy Hall, 60, of Johnstown, unexpectedly passed away on Monday afternoon, November 5, 2018, surrounded by his loving family at Albany Medical Center.

Born on April 2, 1958 in Johnstown, NY, the son of Francis and Marie Hall. He was employed for many years at St .Thomas in Gloversville, worked 25 years at SI Group in Rotterdam Junction and was last employed with East Coast Communications in Johnstown.

Tim was an all around avid sports fan but was a die-hard Jets fan.  Tim played football and baseball at Perth-Broadalbin High School and SUNY Oswego. After his many years of playing ended, he began coaching. Tim coached Johnstown Little League Baseball, Johnstown Little League Football, and YMCA Sea Otters for many years and enjoyed spreading his passion for athletics to the hundreds of athletes he coached.  Tim was inducted into the Broadalbin Perth Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009.

Tim married his high school sweetheart Lisa Davis on August 10, 1980.  They have three children together.  You would always find him at every dance recital, field hockey, football, baseball game or swim meet. He never missed one of his children’s activities.  Everyone knew that his children were his greatest gift.

Tim is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lisa Hall; children, Lindsay, Steven & Kyle Hall; mother, Marie Hall; brother, Tom Hall (Debbie); niece, Katrina Davis; uncle and aunt, William & Dorothy Hall; aunt, Jo Lou Hall (Mike), beloved cousins, Randy Hall (Cathy), Frank Hall, Lauren Hall; sister-in-laws; Laurie Davis, Lynn Kretser, Lonni Davis, and Leslie Davis; pets Bojangles and Theo. As well as cousins, Bill, Gary, Doug, and Andy Hall who were just like brothers to him while growing up.  

He was predeceased by his father, Francis “Duane” Hall; mother-in-law, Jeanette Davis; grandparents, Jacob & Gabby Hall; uncle, George Hall; and father-in-law, Henry Davis.  Paternal grandparents, Francis and Florence Hall.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 at Betz, Rossi &  Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY.  A Celebration of life will be held on Friday at the funeral home following the calling period with Fr. Kenneth Swain presiding.
