Obituary of Clarice Barksdale Robinson

     Clarice Y. Robinson , R.N. ,  56 , of Gloversville, NY, passed away on Thursday May 24, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

     She was born in Colorado Springs, CO,  on March 12, 1962 a daughter of the late Harold and Emily Jimenez Barksdale.  She was a graduate of Gloversville High School Class of 1980.  She later attended Fulton-Montgomery Community College and received her  Associates Degree in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. 

     Clarice was employed first as a CNA at the former Fulton County Infirmary.  She then went on to work in the ER at Nathan Littauer Hospital, the 3rd Floor at NLH and also the Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home.  Clarice aslo was an R.N.  at the River Ridge Living Center in Amsterdam and last back at the Fulton Center for Rehab and Nursing in Gloversville until her retirement in 2016. 

Clarice was a compassionate and caring mother and R.N. who always put others before herself.  She was a member of the People’s A.M.E. Zion Church in Gloversville, NY.

     She is survived by her two cherished children, Lashea J. Robinson and James  H. (Megan) Robinson both of Gloversville, NY.  She is also survived by her siblings, Annette Barksdale , Anthony Barksdale, Faye Sullivan,  Freddie Barksdale and a beloved grandson, Jonah Robinson.  Nieces, Nephews and cousins also survive.   

     Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 6:00 PM on Tuesday June 5, 2018 at the People’s AME Zion Church, 135 E.
