Obituary of Joseph E. McQuade Jr.

Joseph Eugene McQuade Jr, 68, passed away on May 15, 2018 surrounded by loving family and friends after a brief illness. Joseph was born in Troy, NY on March 29, 1950 to the late Joan Catherine (Gentry) McQuade and Joseph Eugene McQuade Sr. Joseph proudly served his country as a Seabee in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, and later worked as a weldor and pipefitter with Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 7 in Albany NY until his retirement.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Janet McQuade  (Chevalier), a son Joseph (Victoria) McQuade III of Needham, MA, a daughter Jennifer McQuade of Hagaman NY, granddaughters Claire Regina McQuade and Madeline Sofia McQuade, siblings JoAnn (David) Smith of Afton, TN, Ronald (Paulette) McQuade of Elizabethton, TN, Richard (Vicki)  McQuade of Moshiem, TN, Mary (Harold) Herrington of Greeneville TN, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Joseph is predeceased by a brother, Michael McQuade.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger Family Funeral Homes, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 2 PM to  4 PM with a 4 PM service at the funeral home with Pastor RW Williams, and with military honors to follow.
