Obituary of Marion L. Hickok

 Mrs. Marion L. Hickok, 88, of Gloversville, New York passed away April 13, 2018 at her home with her loving family at her side.

     Born in Gloversville, NY on March 17, 1930 daughter of the late Marshal and Marion Pearl Borst Kilmartin.  She was a lifelong resident of Gloversville, and attended Gloversville schools.

   Marion was an exceptional homemaker and took great pride in caring for her children, her family and her neighborhood family.   Marion was a long standing member of Fremont Street Methodist Church and her deep faith fortified her.

          She married Kenneth H. Hickok on March 15, 1947, they celebrated 65 years of marriage. He passed away on December 21, 2012. 

     Survivors include her five children, Larry Hickok of Tallahassee, FL, Daniel Hickok of Glenville, Sharon Vertucci of Gloversville, Kim Knapp of Gloversville, and Todd Hickok of Gloversville. Seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.  

 Arrangements have been entrusted to the Walrath and Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Freemont St., Gloversville, NY 12078.  Interment of cremated remains will be in Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown, NY .    A celebration of Marion’s life will take place at a later date.
