Obituary of Pamela Vertucci
Pamela Vertucci, 55, of Fonda passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at St. Mary's hospital with her loving husband by her side.
Born on May 30, 1960 in Amsterdam, she was a daughter of the late Richard "Bud" and Thelma McGuire Anthony. A lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Schalmont High School. Pam worked for many years at the Pattersonville Rest Area; as well as working for the past 20 years as a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service in Pattersonville and Rotterdam Junction.
Pam loved flowers, she especially loved to garden. She would often bird watch; watching all types of birds come to her bird houses, and you could always find her swimming in the summer month. Pam had a passion for traveling, especially to her and her husband's favorite vacation spot, Virginia Beach. Most of all Pam loved spending time with her family and friends; she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her loving family, husband, David Vertucci; daughter, Erin Walker (Jason Brown); son, Gary Walker (Liz); sisters, Leslie Fortier (Joe), Chrissy Ingalls (John), Maggie Steele (John) and Hilary Lewis; brother, Richard "Chip" Anthony; brother-in-law, Keith Vertucci (Patsy); step-daughter, Kelly DiNatale (Domenic); step-son, Nate Vertucci (Jamie Bowen); God-son, Gino Palleschi; grandchildren, Gianna, Rylan and Lila DiNatale. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Besides her parents, Pam was predeceased by her sister, Mary Beth "Deuzie" LaMori.
A funeral service to celebrate Pam's life will take place on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Calling hours to which family and friends are invited to attended will take place prior to the service starting at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
