Obituary of Elizabeth A. Wall

Mrs. Elizabeth A. Wall, 98, of Palatine Bridge, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 with her family by her side. A lifelong area resident, Elizabeth was born on February 24, 1918 in the Town of Minden to Demyron and Lucy LaGrange Allen. Mrs. Wall was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her family. For a time she was employed by Beech- Nut in Canajoharie. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Wall; her grandchildren, Scott Schrell, Thomas Wall, Cindy Wall; great granddaughter, Nicole O'Dell; and her siblings, Peggy Sawchuk, Edith Brown, Herbert Allen, George Allen, Marion Lehtonen and Geraldine Skandera. Survivors include her daughters, JoAnn (Joseph) Hotaling and Peggy Lee (Arthur) Schrell; her sons, Arthur (Elsie) Wall and Ralph Wall; her siblings, Anderson "Dick" Allen, June Dunckel, Irene Wiers and Shirley Estenich; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 1p.m. at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie. Relatives and friends are invited and may one hour prior to the service beginning at 12p.m. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Sandflats, Fonda.
