Obituary of Susan Seal

Mrs. Susan Seal, 102, formerly of St. Johnsville, NY, passed away Saturday January 27, 2018 at the Buckingham Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Buckingham, PA. Born in Lambertville, NJ on January 8, 1916 a daughter of the late John Henry and Eliza Culver Peto. She was a resident of High Bridge, NJ for a time and later St. Johnsville, NY. Susan was a homemaker and took great care of her family. While in St. Johnsville, NY she was a member of the St. Johnsville Methodist Church and the St. Johnsville Senior Saints. She had recently been living with her niece, Sally Franklin and her husband Michael since 2008 in Buckingham, PA. She is survived also by her sister, Ruth Johnson, William Grainor and wife Joan, a foster grandson Spencer Hockenbury , and several nieces and nephews. Susan was predeceased by her husband and a son, B. Klein Seal in 1986. She is also predeceased by a daughter, Margaret Seal-Grainer in 1981 and a foster daughter, Pearl Hochenbury. Funeral services will be held on Friday February 9, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at the Lenz and Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St. Canajoharie, NY 13317. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday prior to the funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Spring at Ingham Mills Cemetery in Rural Park, NY.
