Obituary of John E. Wallace

John E. Wallace, 87, of Spartanburg South Carolina has gone to his eternal rest on Friday June 3rd, 2016. Born on November 20th, 1928, he was the son of the late Madeline Battenfeld and John S. Wallace. John attended and graduated from Iona College and went on to earn a Master's Degree. He bravely enlisted in to the United States Air Force, proudly serving our country during the Korean War. John married the love of his life Loretta J. McDonald on August 28th, 1959. It was a strong marriage that lasted until her passing on May 20th, 2007. John was very proud to have served our Country and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughters, Dana L. Marrone and Melanie R. McKibben; His son Stephen J. Wallace; His grandchildren, Sean M. Marrone, Jennifer N. Spritzer, Alison M. Marrone, and Trevor and Ian McKibben; His great grandson Gideon D. Spritzer; His sister in-laws, Wanda Wirthlin and Shirley Holmquist. Several Nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. John is predeceased by his beloved wife, his loving parents, in addition to other close family members. A Graveside Service will be held for John on Saturday June 11th, 2016 at 12pm at St. John's Cemetery, Widow Susan Road, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
