Obituary of Teddi Ann Knapp
Mrs. Teddi Ann Knapp, age 65, of Gloversville, died Sunday, June 5, 2016 at her home following a brief illness.
She was born July 6, 1950 in Mayfield, NY, the daughter of the late Theodore Marcais and Betty Sweet Marcais who survives and resides in Mayfield. A 1968 graduate of Mayfield High School, Teddi later graduated from Fulton Montgomery Community College. She owned and operated Adirondack Art in Mayfield for many years and was a well-known painter in our area. She especially loved to paint snowmen.
Teddi was a founding member of the Mayfield Historical Society.
She was married in 1973 to John J. Knapp who survives. Other survivors, in addition to her mother, include a daughter, Jacqueline M. Knapp of Gloversville; one brother and three sisters: Edwin Marcais, Crystal Hinkle, Susan Hornbeck and Arcy Buyce, all of Mayfield; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private funeral service will be take place at the convenience of the family at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville, with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Wiliams officiating. Cremation will follow at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady.
