Obituary of Teddi Ann Knapp

Mrs. Teddi Ann Knapp, age 65, of Gloversville, died Sunday, June 5, 2016 at her home following a brief illness. She was born July 6, 1950 in Mayfield, NY, the daughter of the late Theodore Marcais and Betty Sweet Marcais who survives and resides in Mayfield. A 1968 graduate of Mayfield High School, Teddi later graduated from Fulton Montgomery Community College. She owned and operated Adirondack Art in Mayfield for many years and was a well-known painter in our area. She especially loved to paint snowmen. Teddi was a founding member of the Mayfield Historical Society. She was married in 1973 to John J. Knapp who survives. Other survivors, in addition to her mother, include a daughter, Jacqueline M. Knapp of Gloversville; one brother and three sisters: Edwin Marcais, Crystal Hinkle, Susan Hornbeck and Arcy Buyce, all of Mayfield; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A private funeral service will be take place at the convenience of the family at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville, with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Wiliams officiating. Cremation will follow at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110.
