Obituary of Shirley M. Rulison

Mrs. Shirley M. Rulison, age 68, of Gloversville, died suddenly on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. She was born July 9, 1947. She was predeceased by her parents, Leo "Blackie" Desrochers and Olive Courtney Desrochers; also by her granddaughter, Nikeshia Eshia Bushnoe; her son, Walter Lee Rulison, Jr; her husband, Walter Lee Rulison, Sr; her sister, Mary Stinger and her brother, Joseph Desrochers. Shirley is survived by two daughters, Michelle Goh (Kok Goh) and Rebecca Snyder (Larry Olmstead); a son, Kirt Rulison (Tabby Lince); special friend, Burt Winters (Tammy Dame Warner); grandchildren, Brynn Snyder, Daryl Bushnoe, Aaron Rulison, Sadie Rulison, Brittany Rulison, Tyler Rulison, Dana Rulison, Alex and Travis Steenburg, Mae and Siew Goh, Sabrina Rulison and Eva Dame; as well as four great-grandchildren and several brothers and sisters. She loved being surrounded by her kids, friends and family the most. Her favorite things to do were crocheting and puzzles and spending time with the grandchildren and their friends. She was always there for anyone to give a hand up, place to stay or just an ear for listening followed by lifetime friendship. She is going to be greatly missed by all she has touched or who knew her. The family will receive relatives and friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 26th at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville. A private graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville, with the Rev. Dr. R. W. Williams officiating.
