Obituary of Ameilia A. Pinkevicz
Amelia A. "Pinky" Pinkevicz of Rouse Road, For Plain died peacefully at home on Sunday, June 26, 2016 following a brief illness. She was 91.
A lifelong Fort Plain resident, Pinky was born in the family home on August 9, 1924 the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Romanowski Pinkevicz. She graduated in 1942 from Fort Plain Central School and was employed by Beech-Nut in Canajoharie for over 40 years. Pinky was a devout member of Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas' Court Catherine Esther No. 1264. Pinky also enjoyed playing cards. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank, Anthony and John Pinkevicz; and her nephew, John Pinkevicz.
Survivors include her niece, Sandy Pinkevicz of Fulton, NY; and two great nieces, Brittney Pinkevicz of Binghamton, NY and Michelle Pinkevicz of Largo, FL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10 o'clock at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, 115 Reid Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339. Burial will follow in the Fort Plain Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday afternoon from 4 until 6p.m. at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
