Obituary of Michael D. Murcray

Mr. Michael D. Murcray, 58, of Johnstown NY, passed away early Wednesday morning, June 29, 2016 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady following a brief illness. He was born on January 28, 1958 in Potsdam, the son of the late Edward Nelson and Ruth Marie Hennigan Murcray. He was a 1976 Graduate of Parishville-Hopkinton High School. Michael had been working in the Food Service Industry for many years in Potsdam, NY and was a Volunteer for Catholic Charities in Fulton and Montgomery County. He was currently retired. Mr. Murcray will be missed by all who knew him. He was an avid Yankees Fan and leaves behind his extended family at Catholic Charities of Fulton and Montgomery Counties. He is survived by his siblings, Lynn (Lloyd) Howe of Hannawa Fallls, NY, Vicky Murcray of Lewis, NY, Marie (Stanley) Scheening, Norwood, NY, Sheryl (John) Ceresoli of Hammond, NY. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins also survive. Michael was predeceased by a sister Deborah Murcray Egolf in 2000 and a brother, Edward Murcray Jr. in 2014. Funeral services will be held at a later date to be announced. Cremation will be in Vale Cemetery Crematorium Schenectady, NY. Interment will be private.
