Obituary of Dominick Joseph LaFountain

Northville, NY-Dominick Joseph "Dom" LaFountain, 12 , of Northville, passed away on Monday July 4, 2016 after a tragic accident. He was born on August 10, 2003 in Gloversville , New York son of Robert Eugene Potter and Tabitha Lynn (Filkins) Potter and was currently a student at Northville Central School in the 6th grade. He also attended Gloversville Central and Middle Schools. Dominick loved cars, football, basketball, video games and a variety of sports. He loved being outdoors and nature. Most of all, Dominick treasured the times he spent with his loved ones and they loved being with him. His siblings fondly recall riding bikes with Dom, camping and playing football with him. Survivors include his loving family; his parents, Robert and Tabitha of Northville; his siblings, Alexandria and Gavin and Travis along with Faith; aunts and uncles, Angela Makuch, Jonathan Filkins, Jennifer Fountain, Timothy Fountain, the late Scott "Briggsy" Briggs and his companion Rebecca Johnson-Briggs; several cousins and numerous friends and his maternal grandmother, Patricia Filkins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jerry Filkins. The family will receive relatives and friends and celebrate Dom's life on Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 3-5 p.m. at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger and Stewart Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave,. Amsterdam, NY. Burial will take place privately.
