Audrey and I always enjoyed the plays that Bill directed in Hagaman. Also enjoyed reading his spiritual columns in the Methodist Church newsletter. He was a fine gentleman. I still make references to his father Tony's work in local history. Our condolences to Bill's family. Bob Cudmore

Playing opposite Bill performing as Pizzaface and being under his direction in the Hagaman Players will be a warm hearted memory for several years to come. Bill was a community gem, bringing comedy stage plays to the village of Hagaman for several years (10). He encouraged all of us to bring our best! Many laughs during rehearsals and plays! Thank you Bill for being a loyal friend and mentor. Our condolences to Donna, friends and family. Patty Insogna

My mother's only sibling, Aunt Donna, introduced Bill to our family in the mid-70s. I was immediately smitten with him. There were four of us kids then; the baby of the family hadn't been born yet. And even though we were small children, Bill treated us differently than other adults. He was charming and funny, and entertained us by playing the Hawaii Five-0 theme on the spoons! In 1981, my sister and I spent our summer vacation with Uncle Bill and Aunt Donna at their home in Tribes Hill. It was the best summer of my young life. The years went by and I got married and had a family of my own. Life intervened and my visits to Upstate New York became fewer and fewer. But I didn't need to see Bill to know how much we loved each other. I am blessed to have known this man for forty years and to have so many lovely memories to look back on. I will always remember my uncle for his fatherly affection, dulcet voice, and the laughter that came so easily to us. Until we meet again, Unc. I love you.

Uncle Bill was more of a father figure than just an Uncle. As kids we couldn't wait for our annual pilgrimage to NY at Thanksgiving time. He has such patience with 5 kids running around, sneaking food, getting the dogs all riled up. So many great times I'll remember for the rest of my life. You are truly in a better place with no more pain. You will be missed so much. Love you Unc!! Stasie and Steve Haines
