Obituary of Jaclyn A. Sitts

Mrs. Jaclyn A. Bower Sitts, age 69, of Gloversville, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Albany Medical Center with her family at her side. She was born October 10, 1946 in Gloversville, the daughter of John and Margaret Hunter Bower. She first worked at the former Fonda Manufacturing and later retired from Kingsboro School in Gloversville as a teacher's aide following over 20 years of service. Jackie was a member of the former Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed crafting and along with her husband attended craft fairs where she was known as the "Scarecrow Lady". She was married on October 23, 1971 to Robert A. Sitts who survives in Gloversville. She also leaves behind her son, Michael J. Sitts (Christina) and a grandson, Connor M. Sitts, whom she deeply adored, all of Johnstown. Cousins also survive. In addition to her parents, Jackie was predeceased by her sister, Marilyn Bower. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon Saturday, July 16th at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a prayer service will follow at 12:00 noon.
