Obituary of Rosanne M. Sagaitis
Town of Florida, NY, Rosanne (Collins) Sagaitis of Hartman Road passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 17, 2016, at the Albany Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
She was born May 11, 1952 in Gloversville, New York, the daughter of the late Edward M. and Minerva Fortier Collins. Rosanne lived most of her life in the Amsterdam area. She was a High School graduate and she was of the Roman Catholic Faith.
For more than 30 years, she worked as a bookkeeper for the former Mario Papa and Sons Glove Co. in Gloversville.
Rosanne enjoyed spending time with her husband. Together they loved watching sports. She enjoyed working with plastic canvas and other crafts.
Rosanne was married on October 29, 1984 to the love of her life Thomas M. Sagaitis, who survives, along with her beloved dog, Ellie. She is also survived by a brother Michael Collins of Coventry, CT and a sister Patricia (Skip) Anadio of Sugar Hill, GA. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews: Anthony Anadio, Rebecca (John) Zabielski , Cathy Kessler, Bernie Manzer, Beth Baldwin, Michael Collins, Amanda Collins, Donald Collins, and Jennifer Pickard; great-nephew Anthony Zabielski and great-niece Abigail Zabielski, all of whom she adored. Rosanne was predeceased by a sister, Peggy Collins and brother, Bryant C. Collins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam with the Fr. O. Robert DeMartinis presiding. Cremation will follow. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
