Obituary of Daniel L. Delarm

Daniel L. Delarm, 65, of Amsterdam NY, passed away on Monday July 18th, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer with his loving family at his side. Born on May 20th, 1951, in Amsterdam, he was the son of Roy Delarm Sr. and Dorothy Hess Delarm. Daniel was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School Class of 1969. Daniel was employed as an Operating Engineer for International Union Local 106 most recently with Callanan Industries, retiring in 2014. Daniel was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping in the Adirondacks. Daniel was also an avid NASCAR fan, following his favorite driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. Daniel is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Jason) Satas of Broadalbin; his sons, Aaron Delarm and Nicholas Delarm of Ballston Spa, and Lee Delarm of Chicago IL; his grandchildren: Seraphina, Andrew, and Ethan; his mother Dorothy Delarm of Amsterdam; his sister Sandra Constantine (Anthony) of Amsterdam; his brothers, Roy Delarm Jr. (Sandra) of Scotia, and Larry Delarm (Sandra) of Amsterdam. Many cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. Daniel is predeceased by his father Roy Delarm Sr. A Funeral Service for Daniel will be held on Friday July 22nd at 10am at the United Methodist Church, 347 Golf Course Road, Amsterdam. Interment will immediately follow at Hagaman Mills Cemetery in Hagaman. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday July 21st from 4-7pm at Betz, Rossi, & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.
