Obituary of Ilse Schulz Wicke

Ilse Schulz Wicke, 92, of Saratoga Springs, NY, formerly of Amsterdam, NY, passed away Tuesday July 19, 2016 at the Wesley Health Facility following a brief illness. Born in Berlin, Germany on November 12, 1923 the daughter of the late Richard and Elly A. Schroder Schulz. Educated in Germany, Ilse came to the U.S. in 1950. She was employed as an Accountant for Mohasco Corp., Fownes Bros. Mill and Mohawk Carpets in Amsterdam. She was a devoted member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Amsterdam and the church choir. Ilse was also a member of the Mohawk Valley Chorus. She married Carl Wicke who predeceased her. Survivors include her cousins, Delores (Chuck) Goody of Saratoga Springs, NY, Marilyn Lane of Albuquerque, NM, E. Henry Schroder of Spring Lake, NJ and Jim Goody of Andover, NH. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday July 23, 2016 at 2:00PM at Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill, NY. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 42 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY, 12010.
