Obituary of Georgianna Morey

Georgianna Morey, 67, of Johnstown, passed away Saturday February 3, 2018 at the Valley Health Services in Herkimer, NY following a long illness. Born in Amsterdam, NY on November 26, 1950. She was a lifelong area resident and a 1969 Graduate of Fonda High School. Mrs. Morey was employed for many years as a metal fabricator/painter for the former White Mop Ringer Company in Fultonville, NY. She married Alfred G. "Alfie" Morey who passed away on June 12, 2015. Survivors include her son, Joseph Morey (Shelley Shanahan); three grandchildren, Aaron Lyons, Abbey Lyons and Shelbey Lynne Lyons. She was also predeceased by a granddaughter, Amber Lyons. Georgianna enjoyed spending time with her family and will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the spring in Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY.
