Obituary of Glen W Jager

Glen W. Jager, 44, of Fonda passed away unexpectedly last week. He was of the Christian faith and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a life-long area resident. Glen was born April 14, 1969 to Wayne A. and Nancy Rosenberger Jager in Amsterdam, N.Y. On August 13, 1994 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Wendy B. Griffin Jager. He was a 1987 graduate of Fonda Fultonville Central School District. Glen spent many years working at Georgia Pacific, a corrugated box company. Glen loved to be outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and snowmobiler. He especially enjoyed taking fishing trips with his father. Glen was also very mechanically inclined. He loved muscle cars. Glen was "self-taught" with home repair, carpentry work and amazing mechanical abilities. He was excellent at building or fixing computers. On many occasions he would repair, or build computers for all of his family members and children. Above all Glen was a family man who always will be remembered for his compassionate and loving heart. Glen is survived by his wife of 19 years, Wendy B. Jager; his sons, Liam G. and Aidan A. Jager; his brother, Dean D. Jager Suzanne; his mother, Nancy J. Jager; step-mother, Dorothy A. Jager and his in-laws, Gail and David Griffin. He is also survived by two nieces, one uncle, and several cousins. Glen was predeceased by his father, Wayne A. Jager, who passed in 2007. A private service will be held in Glen's memory at the convenience of his family. Interment will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery in Tribes Hill, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Liam and Aidan's Educational Fund.
