Obituary of Elizabeth G. Grattet

Elizabeth G. Grattet, 88, formally of Canajoharie passed away peacefully at her home in Florida, January 18, 2005 under Hospice care, after a brief illness. Born in Canajoharie, NY on October 8, 1916 she was the daughter of John and Nina Gebauer. Mrs. Grattet was a graduate of Canajoharie High School and was employed as secretary to the principal for the Pulaski Academy and the Central School for many years. She then went on to be a Tax Collector for the Water and Sewer Division in Ft. Plain, NY retiring in 1996 and moving to Florida. Mrs. Grattet was predeceased by her son James. She is survived by her Daughter Diane and her husband Douglass Hallett of Wallingford, CT; Three Grandchildren: John, Keith, and Andrea and Three Great Grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 13, 2005 at 1pm in the Ft. Plain Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
