Obituary of Gina Joy Tyler
Gina Joy Tyler, 51, of Schenectady, New York, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 28, 2005 with her family by her side at St Clare's Hospital in Schenectady, New York.
Born on October 10, 1953 in the Old City Hospital in Amsterdam, New York, she was the daughter of Roger I. Tyler of Perth, New York and Roberta Helen Rhodes Tyler of Schenectady, New York.
Gina was a 1972 graduate of Perth Central School, Perth, New York and a graduate of Schenectady Community College, Schenectady, New York.
Gina was a kind and giving person. She was a true Christian. She loved her parents dearly and she helped her mother with love and devotion in her times of need. She enjoyed collecting Star Wars memorabilia and porcelain dolls. She was very creative and made many crafts and her speciality was the making of dream catchers which she sold at the Cinnamon Stick at the Rotterdam Square Mall until thier closing. She loved fishing, camping, horses, animals and she cherished her four cats which she called her babies...Indie, Silver, Tiger and Aurora. She loved the Jets football team.
She is survived by her parents, Roger I. Tyler and his wife Nancy of Perth, New York and Roberta Helen Rhodes Tyler of Schenectady, New York. She is also survived by her brother, Randy I. Tyler and his wife Carolyn of Canaan, Vermont; aunts and uncles: Richard D. Rhodes of Round Lake, New York, Shirley Rhodes of Scotia, New York, Robert and Gay Lewandowski of Perth, New York, Bevan and Gladys Tyler of Fultonville, New York, and Bonnie and Lewis Tyler of Charlotte, North Carolina; Step-brother Eric J. Tyler and his wife Kim of Scotia, New York; and Step-Grandmother Elizabeth A. Smith of Schenectady, New York. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 1PM at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, New York with the Reverend Cynthia Leonard officiating. The Family will receive friends and relatives Monday from noon to 1PM at the funeral home.
Internment will be at Hagaman Cemetery in the spring.
