Obituary of Yvonne C. Bottomley

Yvonne C. Bottomley, 85, formerly a long time resident of Sacandoga Road in Galway, New York, died Monday morning at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. At one time she was a resident of the Park Hill Adult Home and most recently she has been a resident of the Mount Loretto Nursing Home for over three years. Born June 10, 1919 in New London, Connecticut, she was the daughter of Charles L. and Rebekka Childs Adams. She lived in the Galway area for 50 years. Mrs. Bottomley was a homemaker and was a member of the musicians union in Saratoga Springs where she played the accordion locally under the name of Bonnie Starr. In March of 1949, she married Harold W. Bottomley, who died May 9, 1998. Survivors include her loving family; two sons, Harold W. Bottomley Jr. of Clifton Park, NY and John H. Bottomley of Santee, California; three daughters, Elizabeth Knapik of Fort Johnson, NY, Mary Lou Wilcox of Galway, NY and Donna Miller of Bisbee, Arizona ; five grandchildren John Bottomley of Amsterdam, Jonathan Bottomley and Jason Bottomley, both of Santee, CA , Christopher Houghton of Cropseyville, NY and Jason Houghton of Galway, NY ; several great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service which will be held Thursday evening February 10, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY., with the Rev.
