Obituary of Edith A. Scheuer

Edith A. Scheuer, 82 years old formerly of Scotch Church Road, died Saturday at Wells House Nursing Home in Johnstown, NY. Mrs. Scheuer was born December 20, 1922 in Pattersonville, NY, a daughter of Fred and Minnie Liackfeldt Muselbeck and attended schools in Pattersonville and Rotterdam Junction. She was a homemaker residing in Mariaville for 28 years. Mrs. Scheuer then moved to Porter Corners where she resided for 11 years before moving back to Pattersonville in 1980. She had been a resident of the Wells House Nursing Home since October of 2001. Mrs. Scheuer was a former member of the Young At Hart Seniors in Rotterdam and a former member of the Port Jackson Seniors in Amsterdam. On June 22, 1940 she married John Scheuer who died March 10, 1980. Mrs. Scheuer is survived by: 2 sons; John Scheuer, Jr. of Pattersonville, NY Richard Scheuer of Schroon Lake, NY: 1 daughter; Janet Badger of Pattersonville, NY: 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was predeceased by her brother Richard Muselbeck and by her sister Mildred Rose. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Mrs. Scheuer?s cremated remains will be buried in the Spring at Van Vechton Cemetery in Pattersonville. There will be no calling hours.
